How to get HSA/FSA receipts and documentation from Flex

Last updated: February 18, 2026

If you need HSA/FSA receipts or documentation for reimbursement, Flex can only provide these documents if you used Flex as your payment method during checkout.

When Flex can provide documentation

Flex can provide receipts and letters of medical necessity only if you selected "Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA" as your payment method when completing your purchase. If you used this payment method, you should have automatically received:

  • An itemized receipt with the purchase amount

  • A letter of medical necessity (when applicable)

When Flex cannot provide documentation

If you did not select "Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA" as your payment method at checkout, Flex did not process your transaction and cannot provide any HSA/FSA documentation. In these cases, you'll need to contact the merchant directly for receipts or documentation.

Requesting documentation

If you used Flex as your payment method and need documentation, contact Flex Customer Support with:

  • Your order number

  • The email address used at checkout

  • The merchant/website where you made the purchase

The support team can reissue your itemized receipt and letter of medical necessity if needed.

Post-purchase subscriptions

If you signed up for a subscription after your initial purchase, Flex does not manage these subscriptions directly. The merchant processes these payments, so you'll need to contact them for receipts related to subscription charges.

Documentation requirements

Flex's itemized receipts include all the information typically required by HSA/FSA providers:

  • Patient name

  • Provider name

  • Services rendered or items purchased

  • Date of service

  • Amount of expense incurred
